About the project
A health-tech client needed an objective way to measure pressure and vacuum behaviour during a real-world cycle of use, and to turn those readings into a simple, easy-to-read score.
What we’re building
A standalone sensing device built on a compact M5Stack embedded platform, with an external analog-to-digital converter and a custom four-channel analog sensor array. The system:
- Acquires sensor data from four sensing locations at once.
- Displays live measurements on the device’s built-in screen.
- Processes noisy analog signals to pull out the real pressure behaviour.
- Scores each cycle with first-pass logic based on how the signals change over time across the four channels.
An R&D effort
This is research and development rather than a fixed-spec build. The sensors’ behaviour is still being characterised and the hardware is still flexible, so the firmware, the data-acquisition pipeline and the scoring logic are being shaped together as we learn.
