The challenge
Our client operates vehicles powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) and needed to know, at any moment, how much gas each vehicle had left and where it was — even while the vehicle is on the move.
What we built
A custom in-vehicle tracking and monitoring device, from circuit board to finished unit:
- Custom PCB — designed in-house around an STM32 microcontroller and a SIMCom 4G LTE module, then manufactured and assembled.
- CNG level monitoring — measures the gas level continuously while the vehicle is running.
- Real-time location — GPS tracking of each vehicle.
- Remote reporting — gas levels and positions are sent over 4G so the client can see them from one place.
- Production units — boards fitted into rugged enclosures, ready for installation in vehicles.
